Silent Prayers can move Mountains
Have you ever felt you’re drenched in pain and every
corner you see is filled with sorrow? Ever felt that life is unfair and there
is no way of escape in the living hell you’re in? There are times where our
lives give us a rough patch and it seems almost impossible to take a single
step forward. Every passing moment seems like taking you through a dark tunnel
without an end. Everyone in this world goes through this hard phase of life.
Every man, woman, wealthy, poor, young, old and anyone you name it, has a story
of agony, a tale of hardship in their lives. Every single soul who has seen the
light of this world has experienced the downside of life. It is inevitable
since The Most Exalted, the Highest, Allah Almighty says,
“And We will surely test you with
something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but
give good tidings to the patient, (Al Qu'ran – 2:155).
But the real adversity starts with our reaction for
those trials and tribulations in our lives. As typical human beings, our
natural instincts trigger us to moan, weep, grumble and cry over the trials and
tribulations we are facing. We often
pause at these adversities in our lives far too much which in return drain our
physical and mental health. We lose ourselves while finding the way out of the
troubles we are in.
But always remember, the Magnificent Lord Allah
Almighty has promised glad tidings for those who bear patience.
"Verily, with hardship there is
relief" (Qur'an 94:6)
Remember - It was after the sad demise of Hazarath
Kadhija RA, the most beloved wife and Abu Talib, the protective uncle of
Prophet Muhammed SAW, rejection from the Tribe Sakeeb of the city Taif, death
warnings from the Quraish, heartbreaks after heartbreaks, Allah took Prophet
Muhammed SAW for The Miraculous Night Journey - Al-Miraj. Allah solaced his
most beloved slave with the honor of meeting the creator Himself. Gifted the
‘prayers’ as a solace for the entire Ummah. Isn’t it beautiful how The Lord
Allah Almighty blesses his beloved for the patients in the adversity?
Glorified is He who carried His bondman
on a journey by night from the Sacred Masjid (in Makka) to Masjid al-Aqsa (in
Jerusalem) whose precincts We have blessed so that We might show him of Our
Signs. Surely, He is The All-Hearing, The All-Seeing. (Al Qu'ran - 17:1)
Remember - It was after the entire society including
his own father, has rejected him and threw to the blazing fire, Ibrahim AS was
saved from the adversity by Allah Almighty. Not a single person who lived then
was there to stand by Ibrahim AS when he was tortured to leave his religion of
truth. All he said at the time of adversity was “Allah is Sufficient for me”.
Indeed He the Most Merciful Lord compensate His devoted slaves in unimaginable
ways.
"We [Allah] said, "O fire! be
coolness and safety upon Abraham." (Al Qu'ran – 21:69)
Remember – It was after being stuck between the
murderous army of Pharaoh and the rough sea when there was no other way of
escape from a mass massacre of the believers, Allah Almighty split opened the
sea by creating the way forward for Musa AS and his followers. When the
believers put their trust in the Most Majestic Lord, He will create a way even
when we don’t see any. The impossible becomes possible with the power of
prayers.
“Then We revealed to Moses, saying,
‘Strike the sea with thy rod.’ Thereupon it parted, and every part looked like
a huge sand-hill” (Al Qu'ran - 26:64).
Remember – It was after consumed by the darkness of
the belly of the fish, the darkness of the sea and the darkness of the night,
Yonus AS was thrown to the shore by the mercy of Allah Almighty. Isn’t it
beautiful when we are in a difficulty or a distressful situation and we turn to
Allah and call upon Him with sincere repentance and conviction, Allah responds
to our call?
“So `We answered his call and delivered
him from the distress. (This means that `We brought him forth from the belly of
the fish and from that darkness. And thus We do deliver (save) the believers.”
(Al Qu'ran - 21:87-88)
Remember – every time you go through an adversity or
hardships of life, it is indeed a sign of a great breakthrough if you endure
patience. It, of course, rains a little before a beautiful rainbow. Just like
the morning arrives after every night, the light comes after darkness, flower
blooms after every winter, every loss is compensated with something better. It
is the law of the world that we have to taste the bitterness of life before
enjoying the sweetness of this life and the next has stored for us. Victory
follows after every defeat.
"Perhaps Allah may bring victory or
a decision according to His Will." (Al Qu'ran - 5:52)
Just believe in the Plans of Allah when you even don’t
know what’s happening in your life. Verily Allah’s is the Best of the Planner.
Bow your head, surrender yourself for your creator,
and cry out to the most merciful Lord Allah Almighty. Pray for a way out.
Believe O Mankind, your silent prayers can move mountains. Remembering Allah,
seeking peace in Him, singling Him out for complete love, fear, hope, and
dependence – these qualities when combined in a person, constitute a heaven on
earth.
"Verily, in the remembrance of
Allah do hearts find rest." (Al - Qur'an - 13:28)
